Everybody Glows to be night of wonder in glowing, inclusive, all-ages dance music party
Sensory party plans to be accessible to people with disabilities
SHREVEPORT, La. — DJs and artists came together to throw a senses-engaging, all-ages electronic music dance party, Everybody Glows. Multiple artistic powerhouses of Shreveport-Bossier and Houston, Texas, created a sensational experience at The Remington Music Garage, 211 Market Street.
Guests wore neon colors that glow under blacklights. Electronic music by live DJs accompanied captivating sights and smells. The music included genres such as techno, house, trance, breaks, drum & bass, and dubstep.
How the event came to be
Spacewalker Imaginations (Trancelot), Vy Diem, and NHAT are the creators of the event, along with Shreveport/Texarkana locals Wonka Bass and Shreveport visual artist Chang Liu.
“I talked to a lot of people who had various disabilities, and they all had similar stories of how they don't get to go to shows for accessibility reasons. And, frankly, that just sucks. Why don't we see if we can solve those problems. People that might get left out typically, we want to make sure they are welcome too.”
— Trancelot (Brandon Johnson), Founder
“When he came down, we were discussing ideas, and sometimes the stars just align correctly for things to happen. We had talked about an event like this sometime in the future. We didn't expect it to be this soon.”
— Vy Diem
“I'm sending them some of my larger gallery pieces to use for this, so they get some real hands-on time. I love what they are trying to do here.”
— Chang Liu, Blanket Fort Creations
